A letter to Naina

Dear Naina, 

Right from the first time you appeared on screen, we knew. 

We knew that behind that shy introvert is a confident woman, a woman who can take smart decisions, make tough choices, and stick to them. You Naina, are shy, yet firm. Quiet, yet confident. A paradox in fact, that every girl can relate with. 

So beautifully, you show us what life is, through the eyes of a studious introvert. You speak little, yet your eyes convey a million thoughts and emotions. Bunny summarizes you perfectly. Tu sach mein bohot alag hai, Naina. Be it being hurt due to someone's nasty remarks, or having a crush on someone, you disguise your emotions so well. Building a barrier between you and the others, you ensure that very few people - only the ones closest to your heart can unearth these emotions. But seeing you evolve from the quiet girl in 'Subhanallah' to the stunning, confident beauty in 'Badtameez Dil' is amazing. No wonder Bunny fell for you. Who wouldn't? 

You are an absolute sweetheart and an immensely loyal friend. You take your time to open up to people, but the bonds you create are truly for life. 

You live in the moment and live for the present. You love new experiences and meeting new people, even though this fills you with trepidation. And yet, you know your responsibilities well. You know your life's dreams are much, much higher than temporary happiness. 

You love people deeply. Your love is unconditional, Naina. When Bunny wanted to leave, you let him do so. You carried on with your life independently. Not once did you compel him to be with you, or hold him back. You let him move on without you without making him change his mind, and gave him an opportunity to discover what he wanted the most apart from his career - you. 

Thank you, Naina. Thank you for being that girl next door we all can relate with. The one who is a little socially awkward, but still an absolute darling. And more importantly, thank you for showing that true love is never about holding on. Rather, it is about letting go, and setting the one you love free.
